If you are an Indian youth under 30 with a passion for social change, UNESCO MGIEP Youth Fellowship is your 10-day “power move” to the global stage. Hosted at Kyung Hee University in South Korea, this immersive fellowship is looking for the next generation of leaders to tackle peacebuilding, digital innovation, and the Sustainable Development Goals (SDGs).

1. Eligibility Check: Do You Fit the Profile?
- Nationality: Must be a Citizen of India currently residing in India.
- Age: Must be under 30 years old on June 25, 2026.
- Education: Must have completed your undergraduate degree before the fellowship begins.
- Availability: Must be able to attend the full in-person program from June 25 to July 4, 2026.
2. The Selection Secret: What Judges Want
Selection isn’t just about your grades; it’s about your vision. The committee is looking for:
- Coherence: Can you clearly bridge your past social work/activism with the lessons you’ll learn in Korea?
- Action-Orientation: They want “doers,” not just theorists. How will you apply these peacebuilding skills in India?
- Diverse Voices: Applicants from all backgrounds, including persons with disabilities, are highly prioritized.
3. Document Checklist (Deadline: April 25, 2026)
You must submit your application via the official Google Form (emails will be ignored). Have these ready:
- Statement of Purpose (SOP): Your “Why” and your “Impact Plan.”
- 2-Page Resume: Focus on leadership, volunteering, and community projects.
- Two Recommendation Letters: From professors or professional supervisors.
- Degree Certificate: A copy of your latest University degree.

- Reference Speed-Run: Since you only have 2 days, call your referees now. If they are busy, offer to draft a “template” for them to review and sign to save them time.
- Visa Readiness: Ensure your passport has at least 6 months validity from June 2026. If it’s expiring soon, mention your renewal plan in the application.
