Who Can Apply? (Eligibility Criteria)
- Nationality: Must be a citizen of an ADB borrowing member country and a Japanese ODA scholarship-eligible country (such as India and Sri Lanka). Dual citizens of developed countries are not eligible.
- Admission Status: Must have already applied and gained formal admission into an approved Master’s course (such as the International Master in Business Administration) at AIM.
- Academic Record: Hold a bachelor’s degree or its equivalent with a strong, superior academic track record.
- Work Experience: Must have at least two years of full-time professional working experience acquired after completing a university degree.
- Age Limit: Preferably under 35 years old at the time of application (exceptions may be considered for senior professionals under specific waivers).
- Return Commitment: Must agree to return and work in your home country for at least two years following graduation to contribute to its economic and social development.

- Full Tuition Fees: 100% coverage of school and program tuition costs.
- Living Allowance: A monthly subsistence allowance that includes housing and local expenses.

- Travel Expenses: Economy-class air travel to and from your home country, including visa fees and baggage allowances.

How to Apply
- Apply for Admission First: Candidates must first apply for admission to an eligible program (such as AIM’s Master of Development Management).
- Express Interest: Applicants should explicitly indicate to the institution that they are applying for admission and wish to be considered for the ADB–JSP Scholarship.
- Submit Documentation: Provide the institution with the completed scholarship/admission paperwork, along with required financial documents (such as your latest income tax return or salary certification, and family income certification).
- Institution Screening: Applications are not sent directly to the Asian Development Bank. Instead, AIM evaluates and ranks the applicants, then sends the best prospects to the ADB for final selection.
Note: Do not apply to the ADB directly. All scholarship applications must be channeled through the designated participating institution (AIM).
