Age Limit
- NO Age Limit: There is no upper age boundary to apply. Researchers of any age can submit an application provided they meet the academic eligibility criteria.
Eligibility Requirements
- PhD Requirement: Applicants must hold a PhD degree by the application deadline of September 9, 2026 (or have successfully defended their thesis).
- Research Experience Ceiling: Maximum of 8 years of full-time research experience post-PhD. (Exclusions apply for career breaks, maternity/paternity leave, or work outside research).
- Mobility Rule: Applicants must not have lived or carried out their main activity (work/studies) in the host country for more than 12 months in the 36 months immediately preceding the deadline.
Can International / Overseas Applicants Apply?
- YES! (For European Postdoctoral Fellowships): Open to applicants of any nationality worldwide. Overseas researchers (from India, the USA, Asia, Africa, etc.) can move to any European host institution to complete their 12 to 24-month fellowship.
- Global Postdoctoral Fellowships: Reserved for EU nationals or long-term residents seeking mobility outside Europe.
