Who Can Apply? Strict Eligibility Rules
This opportunity is not open to the general public. To be eligible, candidates must fulfill the following criteria:
- Alumni Requirement: You must be a former recipient of a DAAD study or research scholarship that was funded for more than 6 months. (Former EPOS Master’s/PhD scholars are also eligible).
- Residence Requirement: You must have returned to your home country and not lived in Germany for at least the past 3 years.
- Host Institution Confirmation: You must independently obtain a formal invitation/acceptance letter from a recognized host university or research center in Germany prior to applying.
- 3-Year Frequency Rule: Re-invitation grants can only be claimed once every 3 years.
