⚠️ Important Eligibility Note: FOSI is a global organization, but this specific fellowship is location-bound. Applicants must already reside in or near Chicago, Austin, or Los Angeles to attend in-person local placement sites.
International Students: International or Indian graduate students currently living in the U.S. on valid student visas in these cities are eligible to apply (provided they have required work authorization like CPT/OPT).
Applicants Living Outside the U.S.: Candidates residing abroad (e.g., in India, Nigeria, or Europe) are not eligible, as FOSI does not provide visa sponsorship, airfare, or relocation assistance for this role.
Eligibility Criteria
- Academic Level: Currently enrolled Graduate Students.
- Fields of Interest: Youth development, technology policy, online safety, education, public policy, social impact, or media literacy.
- Location: Must be physically based in Chicago, Austin, or Los Angeles.
- Skills: Comfort facilitating interactive workshops with youth and a strong interest in AI tools, social media wellbeing, and digital safety.
Key Responsibilities
Fellows will serve as local facilitators and program implementers:
- Deliver FOSI’s Digital Citizens workshop series to youth in local community centers.
- Guide teens and young people through topics like AI literacy, cyberbullying, healthy online relationships, and digital boundaries.
- Collect participant feedback and collaborate with FOSI staff on program evaluation and curriculum development.
