The Meta Research PhD Fellowship provides financial support and opportunities to engage with researchers while continuing your doctoral research.

Who Can Apply?

The programme is specifically for current PhD students.

There is no stated age restriction.

What Does the Fellowship Provide?

Selected fellows receive:

  • Two years of paid tuition and fees
  • $42,000 annual stipend
  • Paid visit to Meta headquarters for the annual Fellowship Summit
  • Opportunities to engage and collaborate with researchers

Recommendation Letters

Applicants must provide two recommendation letters.

One of the two should be from the applicant’s PhD advisor.

The letters don’t need to arrive by the main September 20 application deadline; they must be submitted by:

October 6, 2026

If both letters aren’t received by October 6, the application will not move forward for review.
