Eligibility
- Nationality: Open to applicants of all nationalities
- Academic Level: Early-career researchers with a PhD
- PhD Requirement: The PhD must generally have been received within the five years before the programme, or candidates must have official approval to defend their thesis by the programme start date
- PhD Timeline: Generally between September 1, 2022 and September 1, 2027, with the defence completed by December 31, 2027
- Extensions: Possible for recognised career interruptions such as parental leave or mandatory military service
- English: C1-level English proficiency required
Application Requirements
Applicants need to prepare:
- Academic CV and publication list in PDF format
- Academic Career Statement of approximately 1 page covering research and teaching interests, experience, career plans, and reasons for applying
- Research Proposal of approximately 2 pages describing a new postdoctoral research project beyond the PhD thesis
- Academic References: Details of 2–3 academic referees who must submit their recommendation letters through the application system before the deadline
Research Proposal
The research proposal should present a clear and realistic postdoctoral research direction rather than simply extending the applicant’s doctoral thesis. Applicants should also explain how gender and diversity dimensions relate to their proposed research.
