Overview
The Fellowship at Auschwitz for the Study of Professional Ethics (FASPE) is designed to help future business leaders understand their ethical responsibilities through historical case studies, professional discussions and practical learning experiences.
The programme examines the role of businesses and business executives during Nazi Germany and uses these historical lessons to explore contemporary challenges in corporate ethics, leadership, innovation and social responsibility.
Selected fellows will travel to Berlin, Krakow and Oświęcim, participate in intensive academic seminars and engage with business professionals and graduate students from diverse backgrounds.
The 2027 Business Fellowship will take place from 28 May to 11 June 2027. FASPE covers international airfare, accommodation, group transportation, programme activities and other specified expenses.
Applicants from all nationalities, including India, are welcome to apply. Importantly, you do not need to be enrolled in an MBA programme to be eligible.
FASPE stands for Fellowships at Auschwitz for the Study of Professional Ethics. It is a non-profit organisation that promotes ethical leadership and professional responsibility among future leaders.
The Business Fellowship is an intensive two-week educational programme that examines how businesses and business executives contributed to the policies of Nazi Germany.
Through historical analysis, site visits and academic discussions, fellows explore how professional decisions can influence society and why ethical responsibility must extend beyond legal compliance.
The programme connects historical lessons with modern business challenges, including corporate governance, technological innovation, corporate social responsibility, organisational culture and ethical decision-making.
Fellows participate in seminars led by specialised faculty members and interact with participants from other professional disciplines, including Law and Design & Technology.
FASPE selects approximately 13–16 Business Fellows each year.
