Eligibility Criteria
The OHCHR fellowship is designed to be accessible to grassroots community leaders:
- Indigenous Identity: Open exclusively to Indigenous individuals (including Adivasi and Scheduled Tribe members from India).
- Community Endorsement: Candidates must be nominated and supported by an Indigenous community or organization.
- Academic Qualifications: No formal educational degree is required.
- Age Limit: No age restrictions.
- Language Proficiency: Proficient in at least one of the following languages: English, French, Spanish, or Portuguese.
- Return Commitment: Must be committed to sharing the acquired knowledge and training others in their community after completing the fellowship.
