Are you a student or professional from Syria, Jordan, Lebanon or Palestine looking to pursue a fully funded Master’s degree in the UK? The Saïd Foundation Scholarship 2027/28 supports outstanding individuals with leadership potential who want to contribute to the development of their home country or region.
The scholarship supports one-year Master’s degrees at UK universities and is designed for candidates with strong academic records, relevant experience and a clear career path.

- Residence: Applicants should normally reside in one of the Foundation’s target countries; flexibility applies to some Syrian applicants
- Age Limit: No age limit
- Work Experience: Relevant work and/or voluntary experience required; no minimum number of years
- University Admission: Must apply to an eligible Master’s course at a UK university
- Study Duration: 1-year Master’s
- Application Fee: $0
- Funding: Tuition + living costs + visa/IHS + one return economy flight + other allowances
- Deadline: October 30, 2026 at 5 PM UK time
- Location: United Kingdom
Who Can Apply?
You can apply if you:
- Hold Syrian, Jordanian, Lebanese or Palestinian nationality
- Normally reside in one of the Foundation’s target countries
- Have completed a Bachelor’s degree equivalent to at least a UK 2:1, or are in your final year of undergraduate study
- Have relevant work and/or voluntary experience
- Can demonstrate leadership potential
- Have a clear career path after completing your Master’s
- Meet the Foundation’s English-language requirements
- Apply for an eligible Master’s course at a UK university.
The Foundation supports one-year Master’s programmes only and does not consider applications for undergraduate or PhD study.
What Does the Scholarship Cover?
The scholarship is fully funded and includes:
- Full tuition fees
- Full maintenance/living costs
- One economy return flight to and from the UK
- UK visa costs
- Immigration Health Surcharge
- Arrival allowance
- Additional study-related support where applicable.
Important Costs to Know
The Saïd Foundation application itself is free, but applicants may still have expenses during the preparation process.
For example:
- UK university application fees are not covered
- English-language test costs may be your responsibility
- Expenses for accompanying family members are not covered.
English Requirement
Applicants must provide an accepted English-language test when applying.
For the 2027/28 cycle, the Foundation requires at least:
- IELTS Academic: 6.0 overall and 6.0 in each band
- Duolingo: 105 overall and 105 in each band
- TOEFL iBT: Accepted scores depend on when the test was taken
The Foundation says English test certificates must be dated after September 1, 2025.
Application Requirements
Applicants should prepare:
- Academic transcripts and degree certificate
- High-school certificate/marks
- Passport or national ID
- English-language test certificate
- University Master’s application/offer evidence
- Three reference letters
- CV of no more than two pages.

Applications open: September 1, 2026 at 9 AM UK time
Applications close: October 30, 2026 at 5 PM UK time
