How Do You Apply?

There is no separate application form for the Eric Bleumink Fellowship.

Instead:

  1. Choose an eligible Master’s programme at the University of Groningen.
  2. Submit your Master’s application before December 1, 2026.
  3. Meet the programme’s admission requirements.
  4. The University reviews eligible candidates.
  5. Outstanding candidates may be nominated by the University for the fellowship.

So, you cannot simply apply for the fellowship independently.

Is It Completely Free?

The fellowship itself has no separate application fee, but don’t assume that applying to Groningen is completely free.

Applicants with non-Dutch qualifications may be required to pay a University of Groningen application fee, depending on their circumstances. Check the University’s current fee rules before applying.

Other potential preparation costs, such as English-language testing or document preparation, may also apply.
