What Is the Anzisha Venture Building Fellowship?
The Anzisha Fellowship is designed specifically for Africa’s youngest entrepreneurs.
Rather than simply providing a one-time grant, the programme follows entrepreneurs over multiple years and helps them strengthen the businesses they are already building.
The fellowship combines:
- Structured digital learning
- Live learning sessions
- Personalised coaching
- Business growth support
- Milestone-based cash stipends
- Finance-readiness support
- Investor-readiness preparation
- Experiential learning and entrepreneur shadowing
- Access to a community of young African entrepreneurs
Anzisha says its wider movement has supported more than 300 fellows across 36 African countries and distributed more than US$1.5 million in stipends.
What Will You Do?
As an Anzisha Fellow, you will continue running your venture while participating in the fellowship program. This includes completing digital courses on entrepreneurship, finance, and leadership; attending virtual and in-person workshops; receiving one-on-one mentorship from business advisors; working toward investment readiness milestones; and preparing for and competing in the annual pitch competition. Fellows are active participants in a collaborative cohort, not passive recipients of funding.
Fields and Areas of Study
All sectors welcome: Agriculture, Technology, Health, Education, Finance, Social Enterprise, Climate and Environment, Commerce, Manufacturing, and more. The Anzisha Prize funds ventures across all industries as long as the founder meets the age and nationality criteria.
