Overview
Fellows receive a $7,500 USD stipend, paid in two instalments, and there is no fee to apply. The deadline is 6 November 2026 at 11:59 p.m. Eastern Time.
The Global Frontline Leaders Program is run by Georgetown’s Collaborative on Global Children’s Issues. Each cohort focuses on one theme. For 2027, that theme is MHPSS for children and families.
The programme brings together experienced practitioners, researchers and policymakers who already work on this issue. Fellows keep their day jobs. The fellowship adds monthly workshops, coaching and a shared research output on top of their current work.
Because everything is online, people working in remote or crisis settings can join without leaving their posts.
What Will You Do?
- Attend an individual orientation in January 2027.
- Join monthly workshops from February to November 2027 and complete short pre and post assignments.
- Meet a mentor or coach every month.
- Co-author a paper with fellow cohort members and present it.
- Keep running your MHPSS work throughout the year.
The workload is part-time. Plan for one workshop a month with short assignments before and after it, one mentoring call a month, occasional networking events and your share of the cohort paper. Your own MHPSS project continues alongside all of this, and the host expects it to stay active for the full 10 months.
Why the Global Frontline Leaders Program is worth a look
Most fellowships in this field ask you to relocate. This one pays a stipend while you stay with your community, and it ends with a published paper that carries Georgetown’s name.
