Potenue Roadmap: 3 Tips to Pass the Screen

  1. The “6-Month” Advantage: While the minimum is 3 months, expressing availability for a 6-month duration in your cover note often makes you a more attractive candidate to hiring managers.
  2. Competency-Based CV: Don’t just list tasks. Use words like “Coordinated,” “Analyzed,” and “Drafted” to show you possess the UN core values of Professionalism and Integrity.
  3. The Cover Note Hack: Explicitly list your IT skills and top three areas of interest in the cover note, as this is the first thing UN recruiters scan for.
